Minnesota Minimum Wage to Increase Effective January 1, 2026

  • Effective January 1, 2026, Minnesota’s state minimum wage will increase to $11.41/hour for all employers.
  • The 90-day “training wage” for workers under 20 will go up to $9.31/hour.
  • These adjustments represent a 2.5% inflation increase.
  • Note: Minneapolis and St. Paul maintain their own minimum wage rules that may exceed the state floor.
  • Employers in Minnesota are required to post the current minimum wage notice in a visible spot. The updated poster should be available for download in fall 2025.
